College Visit

We are off tomorrow for a "mid-winter" break here at home and a bittersweet visit to Kentucky Christian University for a college visit for our oldest.  The saying that keeps popping into my mind is one I heard so often from my folks "I remember when I was your age" I never understood during my teens years how they remember being young, because they obviously weren't ever young!  I am the same age now that my mom was when I graduated.  I can remember graduating like it was yesterday, and here I am getting ready to send our oldest off to college.  What an odd feeling.  I can proudly say that we (only through God's graces) have successfully homeschooled one through high school, and we all survived and thrived!  Nolan blew away his SAT's and ACT scores.  He has been offered four (Yes, 4!!!!) full ride academic scholarships (none are very close to home;()  and he will go on next year to study music, which has been his passion for many years.  Next year will …

C. S. Lewis

"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world."

Baby It's Cold Out There!!!

Brrr...2 degrees, that's it. Chores this morning weren't so much fun! Thankfully Hubby came out to help me. What a strange winter we are having here in Mid-Michigan. This week it was warm enough out that we were outside playing in sweatshirts, today not so much! We got some snow last night finally but I am guessing it will be gone in a couple of days. Stay warm today!

Happy Birthday Rebekah!!!

Sunday is our youngest daughters 13th birthday!! 4 teenagers in the house 1 to go! What is a mom to do?

Friday on the Farm

Do you see what I see? When I did chores in the dark this morning, I knew something was amiss in their pen... Two of the girls got out sometime during the night and I found them huddled together on top of the pen wire. Youngest and I herded them back where they belong. "Tom" was glad to have all his girls back where they belong! Some one has been playing with my camera this week. As I was downloading pictures this morning this is what I saw: I continue to be amazed that this: Plus this: Equals this: and lots of it! It is all produced on this little area that God blesses us with everyday! What is happening in your neck of the woods? Happy Friday!!!!!
